Today we did our first 10 mile training walk. It was a beautiful morning and we had more than 20 enthusiastic participants. We met at 6:45 at the Selby Garden Parking lot. We were soon headed to the Ringling Bridge and St. Armands Circle.

With the generous help of Bonni, we had a pit stop at miles 3 and 7. It was without a doubt a wonderful plus. We refilled our water bottles, had some fruit, pria bars and other snacks and then headed north to Mote Marine and Ken Thompson Park.

At mile 4.5 we stopped at the bathrooms, did some more stretching and then turned back towards Lido Key. We rounded St. Armands Circle on Washington Street. At mile 7 we arrived back at the Pit Stop.

Again we refilled our drinks, iced some neckbands, did some stretching and nibbled on some snacks. Just 3 miles left!

It was a happy but tired group as we returned to our cars. I think we were all very proud to have done our first 10!
